Another super romantic suspense by Virginia Vaughan. She keeps the action going and the tension rising. Just when you think things are calming down something unexpected happens.
Melissa Morgan witnesses her mother’s murder, which lands her and her three-year-old son in the Witness Protection Program. Safety is of utmost importance and it is the duty of her assigned US Marshal to protect her. However, there is a leak somewhere in the system, and attempts on her life follow her everywhere she goes. She dreams and prays for a normal life, but her future looks dismal.
WITSEC Inspector Deputy Marshal Miles Avery, devoted to his job, replaces Melissa’s security detail. He moves her from safe house to safe house to lose the mob’s trail, but trouble finds them everywhere they go. How is this possible? His witness differs from others he has protected. She is young, attractive, and innocent. Miles never gets involved with the people assigned to him, but Melissa captures his attention.
Struggling with his attraction to her and his assigned responsibility, Miles knows a relationship can never happen. Melissa falls for Miles and longs to be with him, but she understands the Witness Program will not allow it. They will continue to move her around and help her establish a new identity. All she wants is normalcy for her and her son, and she prays Miles will be a part of her future.
