Great suspenseful novel. The opening scene catches you off-guard, then the suspense kicks in as an investigation begin. The action is gripping and non-stop and full of twists.
U.S. Marshall Madison James must team up with her U.S. Marshall ex-boyfriend, Jonas Quinn, in an attack on a judge in the courtroom, then are called into the judge’s home where his wife had been found dead. The evidence they gather seems easy enough, but things are not as they appear, so don’t think you’ve figured it out.
Besides the intensity of her investigation, Madison struggles with memory loss after her husband’s murder and refuses to get involved with Jonas for fear he might land in the killer’s crosshairs.
